My dad is 51 yrs old,he knows nothing about Hps,Ipods or the Internet( gasps).This lack of knowledge causing him to be a bit suspicious of my late nite adventures into Cyberworld. He always wants to know what I do online,which sites I go 2 and etc. He becomes even more frustrated when I close a window when he comes to have a peek at my activities. (Btw,the com is not in my room).
Being a tech-illiterate didn't deter him to buy useful gadgets like Hps or GPS. I really don't know why he got a good hp but just know how to use the call function,same goes to the GPS,he knows how to use it by render the function of GPS useless by asking his frens or the backseat driver directions when on the go.
This morning,he asked me whether the GPS's software could be upgrade,to be on par with the latest model. I told him that the hardware limits the software. His rebuttal was whether I could call the dealer or go to the website for the updates. Wanting to be a good son,I went to the site and told that they have updates for maps only.His reply was rather unkind and said that I wasn't looking hard enuff and accuses me of not being tech-savvy enuff which is an insult to me.
I mean how to explain to him that everything has an omega point without being rude.Sigh.
