Man without Wax

Have you ever wonder why we often write "yours sincerely" before signing off in a letter? Well,SINCERE comes from a latin phrase which is "Sine Cera" which translates into Man without Wax.

Wtf,rite? Well, the Romans especially sculptors used a mixture of wax and stone dust to cover the flaws in their creations so that it would look perfect but worthless. Ergo,a sculpture without wax means honesty in perfection.

So when we sign off with "Yours sincerely",it means that the words we wrote are without lies.

ps: I have a code for my readers to decipher. Hint: Julius of Rome had invented this form of coding. The prize is Godiva chocolates. Have fun.
